Board Announcements and Updates
Dear Dot Tot Families,
On behalf of the Board of Directors, I am writing to let you know where Dot Tot stands with respect to the current coronavirus outbreak. As of right now, we are operating as normal and no closures are planned. We continue to monitor the information on the CDC website and the local situation. We want to assure you that we are being proactive in our efforts to keep the risk of exposure and transmission at Dot Tot to a minimum.
Here are some steps we are taking:
We voted today to do a professional "deep cleaning" of the building to make sure everything is as sanitized as possible. This is in addition to the cleaning done daily by our staff and professionally each evening.
We have reminded all teachers to be extra mindful of hand washing for kids and adults alike.
We continue to enforce our sick-child policy. Children with fevers will be sent home and may not return to school until they have been 24 hours fever free without fever reducing medication.
If a child becomes ill at school, we will take steps to separate that child from others until he/she can be picked up.
We will continue to be transparent in communicating with you - we want to assure you that the health and safety of our Dot Tot family is our top priority. Right now, we are not aware of any specific risk to the Dot Tot community, and we are not planning to close. We will continue to monitor the situation and let everyone know if anything changes.
Feel free to direct any questions to GIna or myself.
Yours in good health,
Dot Tot Board President on behalf of the Dot Tot Board of Directors
