Meet Our Staff!
Gina L. Queral
Director
I have been with DOT Tot since July 2005. I have worked with all age groups and love being a part of the growth and development of young children. I have been certified by The Program for Infant and Toddler Caregivers (PITC) which is a specialized training for the care of children 3 and under. DOT Tot is as close to a family feel as you can get in a center based program. The longevity of some of the caregivers has made them friends with a desire to help one another. My goal is to provide the best possible care in an atmosphere that encourages the children’s learning in a manner that is fun and promotes their desire to learn. My door is always open to parent questions, comments, and concerns.
I love working for a Non-Profit Child Care. In my many years in this field I have worked for both types of centers (non-profit/for profit.) The difference is incredible. I've seen for profit centers that cut back when it was not in the best interest of the children, simply because the profit margin was too low. In the non-profit centers that does not happen. If cut backs are made, it's to meet monthly obligations, and the best interest of the children is always taken into consideration first. We do our best to make our families priority!
Elizabeth 'Liz' Anderson - 2020 Winter Teacher of the Season Winner
Lead Teacher, Elmo Room
I have been with DOT Tot since it opened in 1983. My passion is to work with the Toddlers. This age group presents so many growth milestones that it is hard to keep up with them all. We watch the children go from just barely being able to walk to full on running. We see them transition from bottles to sippy cups – some happily some need our help and comfort to get through missing their comfortable bottle. We do art with the children, go outside, sing songs, and do lots of other fun activities. DOT Tot’s family atmosphere has made it a place that I enjoy coming to everyday and has kept me here all these years.
Yolanda Montes
Teacher's Aide, Elmo Room
I have been with DOT Tot since September 1985. I like working with the toddlers because I really enjoy watching how they interact with one another. I enjoy watching them go from playing on their own to interacting and starting to play with other children. DOT Tot is my family away from home. It is a place where I know I will be supported and have friends that I can depend on.
Carol Bissig
Cook, On-Call Teacher
I began with DOT Tot In July 2004, and worked part time with the school district at the same time. After I retired from the school district, I began working at DOT Tot full time. I have worked in all the classrooms as a floater, sub, break person, and recently became the cook. I really love working with the children and have done it for quite some time. I really love the children and look forward to seeing them every day.
Shakeea 'Keea' Frazier
Teacher, Tigger Bugs Room
I joined DOT Tot in the summer of 2015. I come from a family where I’m an older sister of 13 children. I love working with children and helping them develop. This is my first teaching position and I enjoy the comfort of DOT Tot very much. The children and fellow teachers are great.
Alyona 'Aly' Korbut - 2020 Spring Teacher of the Season Winner
Teacher, Pooh Room
I joined DOT Tot in March 2016. After spending two years with the 1-year olds, I moved to the baby room. I love all ages but watching the babies grow in our year together is something special. They go through so many changes and I love being a part of that. Working with children became my dream when I was in 6th grade, and now I am 2 months away from being done with my Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. I am fluent in Russian, and have taken a semester of sign language, which I really enjoyed.
Cheryl Smith

I joined DOT Tot in April 2018. I love working with children and helping them learn. I worked and completed my high school senior project at Bret Harte Elementary. I also worked for the Ronald McDonald House charity and at another preschool. My hobbies are knitting and other arts-n-crafts.
Cassandra Bonner
Teacher, Honey Bee Room
I joined DOT Tot in July 2019. I have been working with children since 2011. Before DOT Tot, I worked part time at another day care center and part time as a caregiver. I have lots of exciting ideas and projects that I love to do with children and was excited to be offered a position in the Honey Bee class. The best part of my job is to see the facial expressions on each child's face while they learn something new.
Anna Fong
Teacher, Pooh Room
I joined DOT Tot in August 2019. I have been in the child care field since 2008 and enjoy working in the infant room. I have worked with different age groups, but the babies are my favorite group to work with. I have a BA in Child Development. I am very flexible. I felt "called" to DOT Tot and applied for a few different positions. I was extremely happy to be offered the Infant Nap Area Teacher Position and look forward to many years with DOT Tot.
Andrea Manza - 2020 Summer Teacher of the Season
Teacher, Sunbeam Room
I joined DOT Tot in August 2019. Although this is my first teaching experience I have worked with a lot of different children. I come from a big family and have helped care for siblings, cousins, and other young family members. I really look forward to this experience. Along with utilizing what I have learned in college, putting into practical use, I look forward to what I can learn from the current staff, as well as the children. I speak Spanish and hope to incorporate that into the classroom.
Nellie Fierro
Teacher, Honey Bee Room
I joined DOT Tot in May 2017. I have worked with children in the Public Elementary Schools in Sacramento and Tulare County through student teaching, volunteer work, and as a credentialed teacher for over 20 years. I enjoy art, and love to paint murals of trees, people, and animals. In the classroom I love to use art, science, writing, and math on a daily basis. I enjoy the diversity of age groups at the Center.
