Parent Opportunities
DOT Tot is a parent-run corporation. The continued success of DOT Tot is possible with the support and participation of each and every parent or guardian. There are a variety of fun and creative ways for parents or guardians to contribute to the center. Please see below for a list of ideas to contribute to the center:

Donate gently used toys (infant – 5 yrs.)

Donate gently used clothes (infant – 5 yrs.)

Copies (Pooh, Elmo, and Tigger Bug classes always need copies)

Clean Kitchen (needs to be done weekly – sign up outside kitchen)

Ask any teacher if they have something you can do at home to help them prepare for an art project.

Buy batteries (Pooh and Elmo especially need batteries all the time)

Attend DOT Tot events (Spring picnic, Mother’s Day Tea, Father’s Day Breakfast, Zoo trip, Parade to Cal trans, Holiday singing at Cal trans, etc.)

Mr. or Mrs. Fix It (We always have things that need repaired)

Spring & Fall clean up days. Help with a deep cleaning of the center. Child care is provided on a sign up basis.

Weekly grocery shopping for fruit. Sign-up sheet in the office.

Ask teachers if they have anything they could use help with.

Clean the preschool shed.

Take care of the DOT Tot garden. (Plant, weed, etc.)

Volunteer to be on the Board of Directors

Attend a board meeting as a parent.
