Gina's testimonial (10/12/2023):

I have had the pleasure of working for DOT Tot since July of 2005.  I've worked for a lot of centers and truly love the family atmosphere at DOT Tot.  I love working for a non-profit daycare as it allows me to always consider what is best for the staff and children alike.  As the Director I stive to provide an atmosphere for the teachers that fosters support for them not only within the center, but outside it as well.  Not only do I have the pleasure of working here, my daughter graduated from DOT Tot in 2012.  The love and support we have both felt has been wonderful.  My daughter sees DOT Tot as a part of her extended family as do I.  

COVID-19 (3/18/2022):

Welcome to the DOT Tot Family.  DOT Tot has been a huge part of my life since July 2005.  Not only do I have the pleasure of working here my daughter is a graduate from DOT Tot.  DOT Tot is a lot like a family daycare in that there is a lot of love in this center for the children, families and each other.  DOT Tot prides itself on offering care that is loving, developmentally appropriate and focusses on the needs of the children above all else.

During the Covid crisis DOT Tot wrote strict protocols based on CDE, WHO, and a Dr. to protect and keep the children, families and staff.  With the State lifting its mandates DOT Tot continues to enforce our Protocols to continue to keep those most vulnerable, out children, safe.  We know that although they may not be in a high-risk category, we also know that they cannot be vaccinated against this virus and want to do all we can to keep everyone healthy.  Throughout the pandemic we have been able to remain open with minimal closures and no major outbreak.  This came at a time when many centers closed multiple times, and some closing permanently.

COVID-19 (9/18/2020):

Dear DOT Tot Families and families in the community seeking child care,

​

DOT Tot is one of the very few daycares that stayed open throughout the pandemic. Although it wasn't always easy, we know that serving our community in times of need is important. In order to stay open our protocols are constantly being updated and we are purchasing the best products we can use to keep our center clean. For example, we just purchased a brand new Electrostatic mister which is used daily to clean and sanitize the center and a power washer to clean the playground. The office, infant, and toddler carpets are cleaned every 3 months and the preschool carpets are cleaned every 6 months, plus they are all treated with the electrostatic mister daily.  We also have Lysol in every form that it comes. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns, we are here to serve!

COVID-19 (6/19/2020):

Dear DOT Tot Families,

I'm so happy to have families returning to the Center, I've missed you all! As a result of re-opening, I have updated our operations protocols and increased our cleaning procedures, for specific information please see the Updated Operations Protocols. 

​

Parents that are interested in touring the center can now do so virtually! Please refer to the Virtual Tour of DOT Tot!

As DOT Tot continues to improve our processes and implement safer protocols, we appreciate your patience and understanding.

Nut Allergies:

Dear DOT Tot Families,

 

DOT TOT HAS CHILDREN WITH SEVERE NUT ALLERGIES. PLEASE DO NOT BRING NUTS OF ANY KIND INTO THE CENTER. THIS INCLUDES COCONUT PRODUCTS. PLEASE CHECK ALL ITEMS BROUGHT INTO THE CENTER TO MAKE SURE THEY ARE NOT PRODUCED IN A PLANT THAT ALSO MAY CONTAIN NUT PRODUCTS.

The children have EPIPENS and we don’t want to risk their health and safety in any way! I sent out a memo on how homemade items must be accompanied by the labels/boxes so I can confirm they are not exposed to any kind of nuts. Although I realize this seems a bit overboard, the health and safety of the children enrolled is of the utmost importance to me, and I don’t want to jeopardize anyone’s health.
