DOT Tot History & Philosophy
DOT Tot Child Care Center was established in 1983 with the primary goal of providing a well-rounded, carefully planned, and developmentally appropriate curriculum in a loving atmosphere. DOT Tot also aims to maintain its status as a model child care program - serving as a resource for other childcare facilities across the state, and providing appropriate, carefully-monitored opportunities for training and research in early childhood care and education.
The Board of Directors and staff hope that every child’s experience at DOT Tot will be an enriching and wonderful one. We encourage family participation, and offer ample opportunities for parents and guardians to be involved during their children's time here. Please know that we look forward to hearing your ideas and suggestions and that we encourage you to participate in Board and Center activities. We believe that you are your child's most important teacher, and as such the most critical component in providing a high quality program for your child. DOT Tot’s goal is full integration of parents/guardians, staff, and the Board in a cooperative effort to enhance and enrich your child's early educational experience.
Parent Participation at DOT Tot
DOT Tot is a parent-run corporation. The continued success of DOT Tot is possible with the support and participation of each and every parent or guardian. There are a variety of fun and creative ways for parents or guardians to contribute to the center.
"Our family loves DOT TOT Child Care Center. The staff are warm, welcoming, and display a genuine interest in my daughter's continuing growth and development - physically, mentally and emotionally. We can go to work worry-free, because we know she's having a good time with people we trust...and learning a lot in the process!
